John Ed Jordan, 87, of 2771 Boykin Bridge Road, passed away, Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at his home.

Funeral will be held at 12 PM,  Saturday, November 5th at Clinton Community Church with Rev. Dwight Dunning and Rev. Wilda Faircloth officiating.  Interment will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6 PM – 8 PM, Friday, Nov. 4th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and at other times at the home.

John Ed, born August 3, 1935 in Sampson County, was the son of the late John Jordan and Bannie Gallagher Jordan.  He was a member of Clinton Community Church and worked with Melson Woodworks. He was a member of the NC National Guard.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by; wife, Eleanor Mildred Lane Jordan, grandson, John Elliott Jordan; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Jordan; and siblings, Paul Manly Jordan, Alma Gray Stanley, Peggy Bell; and brother-in-law, Harold Strickland.

Survivors include; son, Edward Jordan; daughter, Wendy E. Jordan (Little John Yancey); grandsons, Colt Jordan of Wilmington and Andrew Jordan (Stephanie); great-grandchildren, Little Colt Jordan, Nina Jordan, Peyton Jordan, Eli Jordan, Lily Brooke Jordan, Reeves Jordan; sister, Wanda Jordan Strickland;  grand-daughter-in-law, Summer Jordan; and special son, Pewee Carr.
