John David McKenzie

John David McKenzie, 58, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at

Sampson Regional Medical Center.

John David, born June 3, 1963, in Long Island, NY, was the son of the late

James D. McKenzie and Dorothy Fann Jones. He was a 1981 graduate of Clinton High School, and  

a simple man who was an avid fisherman, hunter, and

loved to watch his sports especially The San Francisco 49ers.

John’s life-long career was in the Pork Industry. He was highly respected by his friends and coworkers.    

With heavy hearts he leaves behind a sister, Jackie M. Jordan (Glenn),

brother, Jamie McKenzie (Gena), stepfather, Wilburn K. Jones; stepbrother, Keith Jones (Leanne).

Nieces; Kaitlin (Terry), Kelsey (Austin), Jamie, Sarah (Tristen)

Nephews; Dylan, Blair, Garrett, Joel, and a host of great nieces and nephews.

The family will have a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM, Tuesday, Dec. 14th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral

Home with Rev. Don Myers officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service.  A Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, December 15th at Grandview Memorial Gardens , 2809 N US-421, Clinton, NC.

In keeping with John’s passion, in lieu of flowers, the family asked that the donations be made to the

NC Ducks Unlimited Greenwing or the NC Wildlife Habitat Foundation.
