John Fox Hutchins, 88 of Clinton (formerly of Raleigh) died peacefully at home August 17, 2021.
Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 15, 2021 at Rowan Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Clay Carter officiating.
John was born on March 20, 1933 to the late Charles Spurgeon and Healy Baker Hutchins.
He followed his heavenly wife, Alice Quick Hutchins, a Clinton native. They shared sixty years of marriage together.
He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Hutchins Dorman and “adopted” son, Victor Cervantes Rodriguez all of Clinton.
He is also survived by a sister, Nancy Glenn of Raleigh, brothers Frank Hutchins of Johnson City, TN, James Hutchins (twin) of Raleigh and Robert Hutchins of Temple, TX.
In addition to his parents, sisters, Elizabeth Champion and Mary Jo Hull, and brothers, Charles Hutchins and Bill Hutchins preceded him in death.
John was a veteran of the US Army, a 32nd degree Mason, a member and Past Master of James B Green Lodge No 735 in Raleigh, NC, a past member of Amran Shrine Club of Raleigh, NC and a former member and past President and Treasurer of the Wake County Lions Club.
John was known for his happy life attitude, always eager to be the first at the breakfast table. He had an adventuresome spirit, a non-stop work ethic and was a loving individual to his family and friends.
The family is thankful for John’s caregiver team with guided assistance from 3HC Home, Health and Hospice Care, Inc.
A processional will advance from the residence, 155 Reedsford Road to inter for a graveside celebration of life service on October 15th at 11:00 am at Rowan Baptist Church with Clay Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends and family at the residence after the service.
