John Roland "J.R." Hinson, Jr.

John Roland "JR" Hinson, Jr., passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023 at the age of 78.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Carolyn Allen Hinson.  He is lovingly remembered by his sons, Kevin and Bryan and wife Nichole, grandchildren, Ryan Hinson, Carson Hinson, and Kinsley Hinson, along with sister, Patsy Crumpler and brother, Earl Hinson.

John, born January 10, 1945 in Sampson County, was the son of the late John Roland Hinson and Dora Lucille Godwin Hinson.  He was a manger for multiple grocery store chains and a marketing manager for Kraft Foods.  He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Clinton, NC.   He was a veteran of the NC National Guard in Clinton. 

Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Friday, January 27th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Chisenhall officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.  Interment will follow in the Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Faison, NC.
