Jimmie David Bryant, 78, of 536 Merkle Lane, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.

A Memorial service will be held at 6 PM, Friday, January 16th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Chris Bishop officiating.

Jimmie, born June 29, 1947, in Sampson County, was the son of the late Nicholas Fowler Bryant and Maggie Matthis Bryant.  He was a truck driver for over 40 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Carl Victor Carter, First wife Vickie Ellen Bryant and second wife Margaret Elaine Carter Bryant.

Survivors include his children David Nicholas Bryant, James Dalton Bryant and Elizabeth Ann McLamb and husband Bentley McLamb, sister Hilda Jordan, grandchildren Victoria McLamb, Cameron Reece Bryant, Jessica Ellen Bryant, Austin Lee Bryant, Aaron Nichols Bryant, Megan Ann Carter, Michael Carter and Molly Beth Sullivan and nine great-grandchildren.
