James Pollock “Jim” Robinson, 56, of Clinton, NC was welcomed into his heavenly home by his Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 20, 2022. Jim loved many and was loved by many. He was born, raised and lived his entire life at his homeplace in the Moltonville Community. Jim was a friend to all and loyal like no other. He was the son of the late Thomas and Keron Robinson.
Those who know him, knew his passion for cooking, especially outdoor dutch-oven cooking. His passion for guns was equal to that of cooking. He loved all types of firearms from old to new. History was also very important to him. He spent countless hours searching for Indian arrowheads and other artifacts, and amassed quite a collection. One of his biggest loves was animals. His heart was so big, and he never wanted any animal to suffer and not be loved. His greatest love and devotion was shown to his family. A devoted and extraordinary loving husband and father doesn’t even begin to describe him.
To cherish his memory, Jim leaves behind his wife, Gina Spell Robinson, his daughter, Zoie Elizabeth Warren; sister, Dixie Collins (Earl); brother, Dennis Quick (Mona); his father and mother-in-law, Dwight and Marylin Spell, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great nieces and great nephew, all of who he loved dearly. Jim is also survived by his pets that were his “babies”
A celebration of Jim’s Life will be held 2PM Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Rowan Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Carter officiation. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends will be received Monday from 6-8 at Rowan Baptist Church and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sampson County Animal Shelter, 168 Agriculture Place, Clinton, NC 28328.
