Jennifer Paige Brewer Obituary

On January 24, 2026, after a 23-year battle of unmatched courage and resilience, Jennifer Paige Brewer of Clinton, NC, stepped into the promise of new life. Her steadfast faith sustained her through every challenge she faced with grace, dignity, and unwavering intestinal fortitude. Her frail body has been restored and now matches the inner strength she carried within.

Jennifer was blessed with the love of a tightknit community and an extended family tree that continued to grow and blossom over the years. Jennifer never took a relationship for granted. If you were in her life, you were valued beyond measure, and she cherished every moment she spent with you.

Jennifer was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia shortly after graduating from Midway High School. As her fellow classmates were venturing into “normal” adulthood, Jennifer’s path became the “road less traveled” in the blink of an eye.

Jennifer never let her challenges define her. After two attempts at nursing school, each interrupted repeatedly by extended hospital stays, Jennifer decided a career path outside of hospital walls was more appropriate. Where others would have thrown in the towel, Jennifer persevered through two bone marrow transplants, multiple invasive hip surgeries, and failing vision, completing her degree in Business Administration with numerous certifications that further complimented her degree. She may have been the self-proclaimed “twenty-something year old, old lady” on campus, but she was a force to be reckoned with, set on finishing what she started.

Determined to live a productive life, despite her loss of vision and increasing mobility issues, Jennifer joined Becky Spell and the wonderful team at Tim’s Gift, where she worked tirelessly to help others facing their own health challenges. Jennifer was a bridge of compassion that helped turn family losses into opportunities to pay it forward for others.

Jennifer is survived by her parents, Lisa Pope (Andy) and Lamar Brewer (Chrissy); sister, Ivey King (David); nephew, Coats; brother, Bryson Brewer (Marley); niece, Willow Paige; grandfather, Jimmy Brewer of Virginia; special aunts, Lyn Hobbs and Joy Zanikos; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors, and friends that she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Virginia King, Tommy Vann, Evelyn Vann, and Alice Pope.

There are no words to express our family’s deepest appreciation for Chrissy Brewer’s selfless act of donating Jennifer’s miracle kidney; Jennifer’s bone marrow donors, Blake and Sabine; and the amazing team of doctors at UNC Chapel Hill that granted us precious years with Jennifer that would have otherwise been lost.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Tim’s Gift in Clinton, NC. Jennifer would be so happy to know that her fundraising efforts are still in full effect.

A visitation will be held from 1 PM – 2 PM, Tuesday, January 27th at Mt. Elam Baptist Church followed with the funeral service at 2 PM, with Rev. Brandon Glunt officiating.  Interment will be private.
