Jeanette Royal DeLuca, 77, formerly of Sampson County, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.
A Celebration of Life Service, will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, June 22nd at YES Church, 125 Commerce Parkway, Garner, NC 27529. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, June 29th at Piney Green Baptist Church, 6040 High House Road, Salemburg, NC 28385
Jeanette was born December 30, 1947 in Sampson County to the late Wreitzel Royal and Willa Dean Jackson Royal. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her former husband Charles DeLuca, husband Virgil Willis and brother Elbert Royal. Jeanette worked in the banking industry for over 32 years and retired from Miller Motte College where she worked as an Esthetics Instructor from 2008 – 2019. She was a member of Piney Green Missionary Baptist Church in Salemburg and attended YES Church in Clayton.
Jeanette enjoyed Korean Drama, reading, belly dancing, a glass of wine with friends and good music.
She is survived by: daughter Paige DeLuca; grandchildren, Brittney Funderud, Colin Moore, Kennedy Parker, and Ansley Collins; great-grandchildren, Sophia Stiller and Willow Moore; and sisters, Lesia Henderson and Karen Royal.
