Jean Ellis Bryson, 78, of 999 N. N. Ellis Road, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Wayne Memorial Park in Goldsboro with the Rev. Jabe Largan officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6 PM – 8 PM, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home. 

Jean, born in 1940 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Norman Norfleet Ellis and Doris Ruth Rich Ellis.  She was the owner and operator of N. N. Ellis Produce and a member of Faison United Methodist Church.  She received her BS from ECU and received the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement award while in college.

Survivors include; sons, T. D. Bryson, V and Norman Ellis Bryson and wife Nytasha; grandchildren, Thad Bryson, VI and wife Bridget, Daniel Bryson, Dylon Bryson, Dalton Bryson, Shakaya South, Tala Kloppenborg and Keilani Kloppenborg; great-grandchild, Marcus.
