Jean Marie (Turlington) Bradshaw` Obituary

Jean Turlington Bradshaw, 93, of Clinton, North Carolina, transitioned to her Heavenly home on October 15, 2024. "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8)."

She was born on February 14, 1931, in New York. Jean had two primary occupations over her career, the first being a telephone operator for Carolina Telephone where she retired after 28 years of service. The second being a childcare provider for Backyard Buddies and Grace United Methodist Church Pre-school where she retired after 27 years of dedicated service in her continuing love of children.

Jean was the epitome of kindness. She exuded the love, peace, and grace of Christ. She had a wonderful laugh that filled the room, and she loved her family completely. She was an avid reader, especially of her Bible, and lead by example as a moral, just, and honest person. In a word, Jean was a saint.

Her true passions were for her faith, to lead a life that was Christ-like. She was a longtime member of Bethesda Assembly of God Church. Jean loved and cared for her children, grandchildren, and all the other children of the community that were in her care.

She is survived by her children, Teresa, Gail, and Glenn (Robin); two grandchildren, Kristopher Ryan Bradshaw (Karen) and Jennifer Alicia-Maria Whitley (Paul); five great-grandchildren, Jena Grace Williams, Allyson (Ally) Warren Williams, Ava Evayne Bradshaw, Isabella (Bella) Claire Bradshaw, and Jack Weston Bradshaw; and many other friends and family who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Charles Ray Bradshaw.

She was laid to rest in a private homegoing service attended by her family.  The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice (Carol Aman) for all your support and kindness during this difficult time.

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4)."

Praise be to God, Jean has been called home. She is loved. Hallelujah and Amen.
