James Wesley Herring, 71, of 497 Five Bridge Road, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home.

Graveside service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, April 6th at Clinton City Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.  The family will receive friends at the home immediately after the service.

Wesley, born March 13, 1954 in Sampson County, was the son of the late James Lloyd Herring and Mildred Alderman Herring.  He was a farmer and a member of First Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Mille Jo Herring Lewis.

Survivors include: wife, Teresa Sumner Herring; daughters, Anna Herring Rouse (Jared) and Sarah Herring Wach (Colin); grandchildren, Anna James Rouse and Charlotte Rouse; sister, Emily Goodrich (Charlie); brother Byron Herring; and special friends, Troy Faison, and Jeff and Dana Jones.
