Idell Parson Daughtry, 82, of 686 Simmons Road, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at Mary Gran Nursing Center.
Funeral will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, June 9th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. Joseph Tew officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Daughtry Family Cemetery on Lockamy Road. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home and at other times at the home and at other times at the home of her daughter Rena at 634 Simmons Road, Clinton.
Idell, born April 10, 1942 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Blake Parson and Eva Mae Thornton Parson. She was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Henry Daughtry, Sr., and siblings Carlton Parson, Joyce Westbrook, Louise Naylor and Billy Parson.
Survivors include: children, Marilynn Daughtry Spell, Rena May Daughtry Rogers and husband Marty Craig Rogers and Lewis Henry Daughtry. Jr.; grandchildren, Rachel Kaitlyn Daughtry, Emily Faith Rogers Spears, Corrina Hope Rogers, Nicole Lynn Spell, Austin Corey Spell, Matthew Craig Rogers, Kimberly Diana Rogers Hairr, and Nick Bartley Spell; and great-grandchildren, Riley Drake Spell, Alessa Jade Spell, Nick Bartley Spell, Jr., Shaniya Spell, Gavin Lee Hairr and Kadelyn Hairr; siblings, Adell Britt (Jim), Janice Lee and David Parson (Marie); and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mary Gran Nursing Center for Patient Activity and Needs, 120 Southwood Drive, Clinton, NC 28328.
