Howard Rexford Hall, 68, formerly of High House Road, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at UNC Healthcare in Chapel Hill.

Howard, born May 8, 1953 in Sampson County was the son of the late Fulton Howard Hall and Christine Cannady Hall. He loved to play musical keyboards and loved dogs, always having one until he had to go to Southwood Nursing Home. He was an avid movie buff and very articulate and very intelligent. He loved to discuss history and politics. Howard possessed a strong faith. He was a graduate of Clinton High School and then attended Pembroke University and Sampson Tech.

Survivors include; sister, Ella M. Hall-Tanner and her husband Aaron Steve Tanner Sr. of Newnan, GA; step-nephew, Aaron Steve Tanner, Jr. of Clinton; and several cousins in the Hall and Cannady family throughout NC.

Services will be held at a later date.
