Helen Faye (Hobbs) Mitchell

Helen Hobbs Mitchell, 74, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2022 at her home. 

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Monday, August 29, 2022 at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Hall officiating.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and at other times at the home.

Helen, born December 10, 1947 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Walter Byrd Hobbs and Hazel Lee Hobbs.  She was a homemaker and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Joyce Smith and brother Victor Hobbs.

Survivors include; husband of 54 years, Durwood Lee Mitchell; children, Rhonda Lee Mitchell and partner Brandi Faircloth of Clinton, Walter Kevin Mitchell and wife Angela of Roseboro, and Bobbie Jo Rosenberger and husband Anthony of Roseboro; grandchildren, Brett Allen Mitchell, Justin Cole Mitchell and Devin James Rosenberger; great-grandchild, Ella Grace Rosenberger; sister, Vickie Johnson; and several loved nieces and nephews.
