Helen Allen Cannady, 95 of Clinton passed away on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Southwood Nursing Center.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 3 PM at Epworth Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris O’Briant, officiating.  The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday at Epworth Methodist Church from 1:30 -2:30 PM.

Helen was born January 22, 1930, in Bladen County to the late Melvin M. Allen and Linnie Smith Allen and was the widow of R. D. Cannady.  She was a homemaker.   Helen is preceded in death in addition to her husband, Sisters: Ottis A Dabbs, Ruth A Gordon, Margaret A. Haiger, and Brothers: Dozier Allen, Jack Allen, Battle (Bill) Allen, Ethan Allen, Laland Allen, Gene Allen, and her grandson, Ross Cannady.

Helen is survived by her 2 children, Robert Allen Cannady, wife Yo-Yo, of Clinton and Judy L Cannady of Clayton, 4 Grandchildren, Allison Cannady Bailey of Clinton, Barrett Cannady of Clinton, Rebecca Cannady Simmons of Chocowinity, NC., and Zach Thornton of Clinton, 10 Great Grandchildren along with numerous nephews and nieces.
