Harold Lee Strickland, Sr., 77, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Durham VA Medical Center.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, July 1st at Rowan Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeffrey Barber officiating.   The family will receive friends after the service.

Harold, born June 16, 1946 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Albert Strickland and Eutrice Susan Hunter Strickland.  He was a truck driver. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife Nona Virginia Ridaught and brothers Roy Strickland and Martin Strickland.

Survivors include his son Lee Strickland, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, sister Louise Thornton (Alton) of Harrells and sister-in-law Elaine Strickland of Fayetteville.
