Mrs. Grace Jones Norris Hubbard, 91, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, April 27, 2025, after an extended illness. Her loving family was by her side, She was born Oct. 15, 1933, the daughter of the late James Felton and Thelma Faircloth Jones of Clinton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Norris and Dr. Hampton Hubbard, sister Gladys Jones Matthews and brother James Jones, all whom she loved dearly.

A funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at First Methodist Church, Clinton, where she was a member, with the Rev. Matt Seals officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour before the service in the church fellowship hall.

A lifelong Sampsonian, Grace was the owner of Butler and Faircloth Insurance, and worked there tirelessly for over 60 years, over 25 of them as owner. She loved the insurance profession, her dedicated employees and all the loyal customers she served for years. To most in the community, she was affectionately know as Mrs. Grace. She had a tremendous passion for life and loved her community, serving it through her work on the Sampson Community College Foundation and as a past member of the Clinton Rotary Club. Her love for the beach and the countless days spent there with family and friends was only matched by her complete devotion to the UNC Tar Heels. Being at her beach house or sitting in the stands at a Carolina ball game were two pastimes she enjoyed immensely. And she cherished her family. They were the most precious of all to Grace, who enjoyed all time spent with her son Doug and daughter Pam, and their spouses, Cheryl and Greg, trips with her brothers and sister, ballgames and dance recitals with her grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. She took great pride in all their accomplishments. When she was with each and every one of them, her smile lit up the room.

She is survived by a daughter, Pam Griffin (Greg) of Pinehurst; a son, Doug Norris (Cheryl) of Clinton; a brother, Tom Jones (Lyn) of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Bryan Griffin (Elizabeth), Emily Greene (Douglas), Kristin Stafford, Kaitlin Adkins (Jeremy) and Kevin Norris (Michelle); and great-grandchildren, Hudson Griffin, Hayes Griffin, Mark Thomas Greene, Grace Ann Greene, Mary Katherine Greene, Caroline Stafford, Brooks Stafford, Emma Adkins, Owen Adkins, Olivia Norris and Cameron Norris.
