Gloria Kennedy Phipps, 74, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025 surrounded by those who loved her.  She was born on October 27, 1951.

Gloria was preceded in death by her mother Doris Cottle and her father Sam Kennedy.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Billy Phipps, with whom she built a life rooted in love, family and faith.  She leaves behind her cherished children:  Denise Scott and husband Mike, William Phipps and wife Elouise and Paul Phipps and wife Kenna.

Gloria was a proud and loving grandmother to Cody Langston and wife Caroline, Tyler Phipps and Maggie, Will Langston and wife Jules, Chandler Turner and wife Claudia, Lizzie Phipps, Cade Turner, Sam Phipps and Gracie Phipps.  Her legacy continues through her beloved great-grandchildren:  Trevor Langston, Lily and Carolina Turner and Silas and Julia Phipps.  She is also survived by her sister Renee Kennedy Hunter, along with numerous nieces and nephews she loved dearly.

Gloria will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family and the strength and grace she carried throughout her life.  Her presence was a blessing to all who knew her and her memory will live on in the lives she touched.

The family will receive friends at the home from 2 PM – 4 PM, Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 1078 Cabin Museum Road, Turkey, NC.
