Glenda Faye Vann, 80, passed away Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Mary Gran Nursing Center.
Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, September 21st at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Rev. C. H. Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Glenda, born September 24, 1942 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late James Clement Gainey and Mollie Westbrook Gainey. She was a homemaker and a member of Mary’s Chapel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Ransome Vann, sister Delma Holloman, brother-in-law Tommy Edwards and nephews Jeffrey Gainey and Tony Vaughn.
Survivors include: sister, Diane Edwards; brother, J. L. Gainey (Doris); nieces and nephews; Shelia Creech (Rick), Phyllis Hudson (Warren), Keith Vaughn (Lisa), Barbara Carter (Terry), Beverly Bradshaw (Scott), Amanda Vogan (Matt) and Joan Gainey; and several great-nieces and nephews.
