Glenda Ruth Lowe Bunker, 84, of Clinton, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Rex Hospital.
Graveside service will be held 1 PM, Saturday, November 13 at Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. Ray Ammons officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the gravesite.
Glenda, born May 4, 1937 in Surry County, was the daughter of the late James Livingston Lowe and Lorene Shores Lowe. She was creative and expressed her creativity in oil painting, needlework design and interior design. She enjoyed teaching cross stitch and candlewick in her needlework store, "Glenda's Place" in downtown Clinton for many years until her retirement. In addition to her creativity, she enjoyed conducting estate sales. She was a former member of the Board of Directors for J. C. Memorial Holiday Library and former member of the Mother/ Daughter Club at Peace College. Glenda graduated from Elkin High School in 1955 and Peace College in 1957. She was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Alex Bunker, sister Phyllis Lowe and her sister in law, Elaine Bunker Reeves.
Survivors include; husband of 64 years, Bobby Edward Bunker; son, Bobby Edward Bunker Jr. (Betsy) of Fountain Inn, SC; daughter Rebecca "Becky" Bunker McKee (Chris) of Garner, NC; grandchildren, Rachel Bunker of Fountain Inn, SC, and Douglas McKee (Emily) of Shelby, NC; brother, J. L. Lowe, Jr. (Jane) of Elkin, NC; brother in law, Mike Seal and Sister in Law, Brenda Bunker Seal of Dobson, NC; great grandson Mateo Villalba of Fountain Inn, SC. and numerous nieces and nephews.
