Franklin Delano Adkins, 80, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2025, at his home.

Franklin, born October 16, 1945, in West Virginia, was the son of the late Franklin Adkins and Louise Massey Adkins.  He retired as a Master Sergeant, Aerospace Ground Equipment Technician with the US Air Force, working at Croft Metalworks and Blak & Decker, and later as a civilian HVAC Contractor on Fort Bragg. 


Among his military decorations and awards were the Air Force Commendation Medal with Two Oak Leaf Clusters, a Presidential Unit Citation, and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with Three Oak Leaf Clusters. Vietnam Service Medal with Silver and Bronze Service Stars.


Mr. Adkins is survived by his son, Franklin Adkins; daughter-in-law, Kim Adkins, of Michigan; daughter, Tabitha Kiger; son-in-law, William Kiger; daughter, Samantha Whitmill; son-in-law, Jacob Whitmill, of Hope Mills; and Grandchildren, Alyssa, Franklin, Joel, Cyrus, Jasmine, and Jade.
