Frank Bunting Moore, 90, of 606 Coharie Drive passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at his home.

Frank, born October 11, 1931 in New Bern, NC, was the son of the late William Charles Moore and Margaret Bunting Moore.  He attended New Bern Academy and earned his Eagle Scout Award from Troop 13 in New Bern. He attended UNC Chapel Hill from 1951-1954 where he was a Kappa Alpha. In his work, Mr. Moore was a bank loan officer, tax supervisor and an insurance salesman. He was devoted to his community where he served as a former member of the Elks Club, member of Hiram #98 Masonic Lodge, Lions Club member and very active in his church.  He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Clinton.  Frank loved his family and lived by his faith; he was a true southern gentleman with a kind, warm smile. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William Charles Moore, Jr.

Survivors include: wife of 64 years Carol Stroud Moore; children, Karen Moore Wrench and husband Don of Clinton and Charles “Chuck” Stroud Moore and wife Cheryl of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Kathryn Wrench Jacomet and husband Tucker of Raleigh, Emily Wrench Bullard and husband Aaron of Clinton, Audrey Renee’ Moore, Abigail Elizabeth Moore and Wyatt Charles Moore; great-grandchild, Annie Stroud Bullard; sister-in-law, Harriet Moore; and niece, Jeannie Moore Hern and husband Scott.

Memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, April 24th at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Matt Seals officiating.  Inurnment with Masonic rites will follow in the Clinton City Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 PM – 7 PM, Saturday, April 23rd at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.
