Frances Hunter King, 87, of Dunn went to be with her Lord, Saturday, July 19, 2024.
Funeral service will be held at 1 PM, Wednesday, 24th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home with Ron Davis and Bishop Chester Aycock officiating. Interment will follow in the Faison City Cemetery.
Frances born January 25, 1937 in Louisiana was the daughter of the late Raleigh Albert Hunter and Fannie Mae Hunter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alton Ray King.
She was a member of Faison Fire and Rescue as an EMT and she also worked with Mental Health in Kenansville, NC with the Willy Home for disabled children. She was appointed by Rufus Edmisten as a local volunteer for tornado victims of 1984.
Survivors include; children, Connie Yopp, Delores Ann Slangal, Alton Ray King, Jr., William Albert King and Randell R. King; grandchildren, Amos Parker, Ashley Yopp Meras, Caroline Yopp, Sarah Yopp, Chase King, Chandler King, John Delp, II, Katlyn King Makature, and Justin King; great grandchildren, Nalla Parker Jacoby, Cara Parker, Cannon Parker, Mavrick Parker, Connor Bragg King, Abby Makature, George Meras, Michael Meras, Oliver Delp, Takashi King and Liam King; sister, Patricia Aman of Willow Springs; brother, R. A. Hunter and wife Doris of Houston, Texas
