Eular Dean Fann Knowles, 89, of 1249 Fann School Rd., Salemburg, passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 8th, at Piney Green Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Keith Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 1-2 PM at the church and other times at the home of her daughter Rebecca Tyndall at 1146 McPhail Rd. Roseboro, NC.

Dean, born in Sampson Co., was the daughter of the late Alvin Earnest “Sam” Fann and Ruby Von Matthews Fann. She was the widow of Vernon Knowles. Dean was also preceded in death by her siblings Annata West, Ray Fann, Lonnie Fann, and Willard Fann, and a son-in-law Jerry Arnette. Dean was a woman of many talents and loved her family dearly. She was very proud of her sewing skills and was a member of Piney Green Baptist Church.

She is survived by her children: Rebecca Ann Tyndall (Dwight), Hilda Patsy Arnette, Steve Knowles (Carol), grandchildren: Richard N. Tyndall, Nicole Viccari, Jonathan Arnette, Michale Arnette (Julia), Sabra Insley Morin (Lyle), Maelie-Vonne Knowles, and Ollie Steven Knowles, great-grandchildren: Richard Lee Tyndall, Kyler Y’Barra, Maya Arnette, and Della Rose Morin, sister Lena Lewis.
