Elwood Boyette, 70, of 1718 Carr Church Road, passed away Monday, October 29, 2023 at the home of his daughter.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, November 5th at Carr Memorial Church with Rev. Penny Ziemer officiating.  Interment will be held in the Boyette Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Elwood, born July 15, 1953 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Oscar Elwood Boyette, Sr. and Ruby Denning Boyette.  He was a tool and die machinist and a member of Carr Memorial Church.  He was a member of the Sampson County Historical Society.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Boyette and a brother C. B. Boyette.

Survivors include; daughter, Renee Boyette (Charles Murray), Michele Boyette (fiancé David Warner) and Jessica Boyette; and grandchildren, McKinzy Faircloth, Halei Faircloth, Kalei Faircloth and Danielle Potter.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carr Memorial Christian Church, c/o Jane Brewer, 1801 Panhandle Road, Faison, NC  28341.
