Elva Willena Tew King, 80, of Clinton passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, September 6th at Piney Green Baptist Church with Rev. Donald Keith Carter officiating.  The family will receive friends from 2 PM – 3 PM before the service at the church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Elva, born April 18, 1942 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late William B. Tew and Lela Elva Wrench Tew.  She worked as a nursing assistant in healthcare and enjoyed reading.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Ronald Lane King. 

Survivors include; children, Duane Anthony “Andy” King and wife Ondra of Dunn, Alan Dean King of Reidsville and Wendy Carol Leonardo and husband Jason of Roseboro; sister, Alma Willis Mintz of Clinton; grandchildren, Jade-Anna King, Tori King (Eric McLemore), Logan King, Hagan Lanier, Josh Wheeler (Giselle Ponce), Tony Puckett, C. J. Braden (Jacqueline) Lexie Braden, Steven Jacobson (Kat), Dustin Leonardo (Kelsie), and Hunter Leonardo; and great-grandchildren, Odin Wheeler and Riley Leonardo.
