Elliott “Sam” Lloyd Vann, 93, of 65 Henry Vann Farm Road, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023 at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, August 29th at Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Charles Gentry and Rev. Oris Hubbard officiating.  Interment will follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.

 Sam loved Sharon Pentecostal Church and was a faithful member for many years. He also loved working in his yard with his beautiful flowers. He took pride in his house and yard.

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his first wife, Iris Airlene Burgess Vann; son, Sammy Wayne Vann; daughter-in-law, Frankie Carroll Vann; siblings, Herbert Vann, Marie Vann Edwards, Rebecca Vann Royal, Frank Vann and Freddie “Coonie” Vann.

 Survivors include: wife, Linda Faye Barbour Vann; daughter, Judy Vann Weavil and husband Mark; grandchildren, Christie Vann Merrell and husband Chad and Cheri Vann Grimes and husband Ashley; siblings, Johnny Vann and wife Rose, Paul Vann and wife Diana and Ralph Vann and wife Jean; and sisters-in-laws, Cherry Vann, Hattie Jane Vann and Willa Grey Holland.  Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Sharon Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1575 High House Road, Clinton NC 28328.
