Obituary for Elizabeth Burgess Warren

Elizabeth B Warren passed Thursday April 09, 2026 peacefully in her home surrounded by her family at the age of 91. She was born March 10, 1935 in Clinton, NC to Allie and Callie Burgess. She married Miles Houston Warren and they had two children together. They moved to Florida in 1964 where she spent her remaining days. She enjoyed baking and cooking as a homemaker. Later in life she became a grandmother of three and a great grandmother to 6. She served in the kitchen of her home church, First Baptist Pine Castle for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Miles Houston Warren (MH) and son Roger Alan Warren. She was preceded in death by her parents Allie Lynwood and Callie Phillips Burgess. She was one of nine children and was preceded by brothers, Jefferson (JM) Burgess, Herbert Burgess, William (Billy) Burgess, Allie (Skeebo) Burgess, Johnny Burgess and sisters Edna Merritt and Annette Best. She is survived by her son Dennis Keith Warren and wife Laura Warren, Sister Daphne Bowden, grandchildren Chad Almand, Keith Warren and wife Ambar Warren, CaSara Chavis and husband Mark Chavis, great grandchildren Karmyn, Miles, Ava, Arhianna, Aaliyah and Arya.
