Eliza Jane Jacobs, 75, of 150 J Lane, passed away Friday, February 9, 2024 at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Funeral service will be held at 4 PM, Monday, February 12th at Holly Grove Holiness Church with Bishop Steven R. Jacobs, Rev. Eartle McNeill, Jr., Rev. Ricky Jacobs, and Rev. Dr. Randy Simmons officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service and at other times at the home.
Jane, born February 20, 1948 in Bladen County, was the daughter of the late Rosevelt Jacobs and Martha Jane Freeman Jacobs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James Lentice Jacobs; son, James Allen Jacobs; sisters, Lillian Lee, Lora Mae Jacobs, Lucy Jacobs, Debra Jacobs and Rosie Lee Ward Valdes; brothers, Tony Jacobs, Ralph Jacobs, and Henry Jacobs. She worked as the Director of the Coharie Tribe for many years until retirement. She was member of Holly Grove Holiness Church.
Survivors include; daughters, Elaine Jacobs (Bishop Steven R. Jacobs) and Regina Jacobs McNeill (Rev. Eartle McNeill, Jr.); grandchildren, Holli Hunt (Justin), Steven R. Jacobs, II (Sharanda), Kelli Jacobs (Jonathon), Cheyenne McNeill, Laci McNeill, and Micah Brewington (Holly); great-grandchildren, Daria Chavis, Kayden Locklear, Camden Hunt, Sky Jacobs, Levi Jacobs, Bella Brewington, Mia Hunt, Jonah Brewington, Titus Hunt and River James Jacobs; siblings, Haleen Freeman (Charles), Ellen Freeman, and Wilford Jacobs (Donna).
A special thank you to Bayada and their amazing nurses, Mr. Johnny, Mrs. Peggy, Ms. Mary and Chrissy for the genuine love and care they gave to our Mama.
