Edna Lane Ellis, 83, of 952 Kitty Fork Road, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024 at Wake Medical Center.

Funeral will be held at 2 PM, Monday, January 8th at Owen Grove PFWB Church with Rev. Kim Strickland and Rev. Ivan Dixon officiating.  Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Garden.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and at other times at the home.

Edna, born April 13, 1940 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Duncan Lane and Thelma Lane.  She was a farmer and a member of Owen Grove PFWB Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Decosta, son Danny D. Ellis, grandson Lucian Ellis, sister Mildred Dixon, and brother Bill Lane.

Survivors include; daughter, Jan Sinclair and husband Jeffery; brother, Kenneth Lane (Debbie); grandson, Jonathan Sinclair (Brook); granddaughter, Sarah Ellis; great-granddaughters, Madison Sinclair, McKenna Sinclair, and Anna Blair; and great-grandson, Reece Sinclair.
