Mrs. Edna Earl Spell Barker, 90, of 1878 Concord School Rd. Clinton, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025 at the home of her daughter with her family by her side.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 29, at Harmony Baptist Church, 1357 Harmony Church Rd. Clinton, with the Rev. Michael Hall and Rev. Bill Guthrie officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 10:00 – 11:00 at the church.

Edna, was born in Pender Co. to the late Roy Jackson West and Evelyn Owen West. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Clennie Craven Spell and Charles Blutcher Barker, a daughter Kimberly Baggett, and siblings: Betsy Guthrie, Doris Martin, Devone West and Larry West. Edna was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and was a member of the WMU. Edna, had a career as a Hairdresser, Seamstress, and Homemaker.

Edna is survived by her daughter Lesa Jackson and husband Frankie, grandchildren: Meagan Ginn (Travis), Ashley Such (Trey), and Nicholas Baggett (Brittany); great-grandchildren: Colton, Jackson, Wyatt, Krew, and Lyla, siblings: Marie Martin, Judy Rimel (Harry), Jimmy West, brother-in-law, Rev. Bill Guthrie and sister-in-law Rita West. She is also survived by her step-children: Lynne Norris, Latham Barker (Carri Lin), and Wanda Tyndall.
