Edith Josephine Crumpler, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at Lower Cape Fear Life Care in Wilmington.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, August 18th at Grandview Memorial Garden with Rev. Stephen Dupree officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 10 AM – 10:45 AM at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home, just before the service.
Josephine, born December 19, 1933 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Luther Parker and Vera Stevens Parker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Lucian Crumpler, son Michael Crumpler, daughter Carolyn Haney, twin sister Madeline Shaw, sister Flonnie Boyette and brother David Parker. She was a member of Turkey Baptist Church and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Survivors include, son, Richard Crumpler and wife Renae of Hampstead and Steven Carson Crumpler and wife Brenda of Graham, sister Melvia Sloan (Ron), eight grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren.
