Our mother, Doris Lee Combs Dixon, 96, of 85 W Faison Ave., passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her home with her family by her side and they are at peace that she is at rest now.
Funeral service will be held, at 3 PM, Sunday, June 11th at Turkey Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Interment will follow in the Oakridge Cemetery/Turkey Baptist Church Cemetery in Turkey. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall one hour before the service and at other times at the home.
Doris, born April 26, 1927 in Jones County, was the daughter of the late Guys Combs and Rubie Jarman Coombs. She was a member of Turkey Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church. She was a beautician. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bruce Dixon and daughter Judy Kulynych.
Survivors include: sons, Bruce Dixon and Dwight Dixon (Belinda); daughters, Pamela Warren and Misty Locklear (Hank); son-in-law, William Billy Kulynych; grandchildren, Bruce Neil Dixon (Wendy), Joseph Joey Dixon (Stephanie), Warren Dixon (Lisa), Bryan Dixon (Kelly), Erica Salters (Craig), Robin McNair (Graydon), Kristin Kulynych (Jerry Barker), Ashley Kulynych Mersiowsky (Russell), Jessica Faircloth (Kevin), and Caitlin Emanuel (Trent); great-grandchildren, Neil Tatum Dixon, Madaline Dixon, Benjamin Dixon, Ethan Dixon, Isaac Dixon, Connor Dixon, Brooks Dixon, Sawyer Dixon, Haley Montgomery, Will Montgomery, Anthony Mazzotti, Grace Harrell, Clint Faircloth and Tidus Locklear.
