Donnie Catherine Killette, 87, formerly of Clinton, passed away Friday, December 15, 2023 at Pruitt-Neuse Rehab.

Memorial service will be held at 11 AM, Thursday, December 28th at Clinton Community Church with Rev. Mark Fields and Rev. Dwight Dunning officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church.

Donnie, born June 29, 1936 in Sampson County was the daughter of the late Marshall Thornton and Corena Brown Thornton.  She worked as a floral designer with Bryant’s Florist.  She was a member of Clinton Community Church and sang in the choir.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Melba Reason, Shirley Barefoot and John Marshall "Tommy" Thornton. 

Survivors include her children; Brenda Leigh Mock and husband Dennis Mock and William Kent Yancey; siblings, Peggy Bryant, Linda Parrish and Willie Thornton (Glenda); grandchildren, William Derek Yancey and wife Ashley Long Yancey, Monica Lynn Yancey Rich and husband Jeffrey Lynn Rich, Kyle Dennis Mock and wife Taren Mock; great-grandchildren, Ely Peyton Yancey, Jaxon Grey Yancey, Audrey Lynn Rich, Hazelyn James Rich, Wyatt Mock and Elizabeth June Mock.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Clinton Community Church, 1901 Sunset Ave., Clinton, NC  28328
