Donald Turner, 77, of 418 Southwood Drive, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, November 29th at Grove Park Baptist Church with Rev. Jonathon Shattock and Rev. Cameron Dunn officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service and at other times at the home.    After the visitation the interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Garden.

Donald, born August 3, 1946 in Sampson County, was the son of the late James Woodrow Turner and Odell Warren Turner.  He was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church and a 1964 graduate of Clinton High School.  He worked with Lundy’s for over 50 years.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Jerri Ellis, (twin brother) Ronald  Turner, Trudy Turner Barnhill and Jimmy Turner, Jr.

Survivors include: wife of 58 years, Mildred Louise Strickland Turner; daughter, Deborah Kidd (William); son, Donnie Turner, Jr. (Kathy); grandchildren, Mallory Lopez Turner (Miguel), Justin Cruz Turner (Becky), Nicholas Faircloth (Laura), Jessica Thornton (Zach); thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Norma Turner Williford (Pete); brother, Rudy Wayne Turner (Roseanne); several nieces and nephews.

Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to Grove Park Baptist Church, 609 Northeast Blvd, Clinton, NC  28328.
