Darrell Steve Hora, 79 of Clinton passed away at Sampson Regional Medical Center on Saturday, March 8, 2025. 

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at New Bethel Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Chris Webb and Rev. Randy Simmons, officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1 PM – 2 PM, Wednesday and other times at his home.

Mr. Hora was born in Cumberland County on November 8,1945, was the son of the late Steve Hora & Myrtle Johnson Hora and was married to Dianne Faircloth Hora.

Darrell was a mail courier for Smithfield Foods in Clinton and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. 

In addition to his wife, Dianne, he is survived by 3 children, Carolyn Jacobs (Randy), Dwayne Edward Williard (Shelia) and Stephanie Lindsay (Jonathan).  Also left to cherish his memory are 9 grandchildren, Audrey Jacobs, Dwayne Williard, Jr. (Kaitlyn), Spencer Jacobs (Maddy), Jonathan Jacobs (Rachel), Austin Williard, Logan Williard, Wesley Royal, Brian Royal, Aiyana Lindsay and 4 great grandchildren, James, Lyla, Matthew & Lauryn Grace, and relatives Cordell Dougherty, Andrea O’Naghten, Lee-Anne Dougherty of Miami Beach.
