Daniel “Danny” Jefferson Peterson, 2700 Southeast Blvd, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Homeplace, 2700 Southeast Blvd, Clinton, NC with Rev. Matthew Barefoot officiating.

Danny, born in 1939 in Sampson County, was the son of the late Alvah Allen Peterson and Willie Frank Owen Peterson.  He was a mail carrier and veteran of the US Marines.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Peterson Barber, brother in-laws, Ronald Barber and Jesse King, and grandson, Andrew Marson Warren.

Survivors include; wife of 34 years and caregiver, Ann Peterson; son, Jeff Peterson and wife Kathy; daughters, Dee P. Smith and husband Jeff and Lori P. Warren and husband Bill; grandchildren, Ana Peterson Bateman (Kent), Kara Peterson Atkinson (Tre), Halee Smith Inman (Landen), Hannah Smith Strickland (Tyler), Cole Warren, Trey Warren and Matthew Warren; great-grandchildren, Whit Bateman, Norah Bateman, Walker Atkinson, and Neal Atkinson; and sister, Jacque Peterson King.
