Cynthia Elizabeth “Beth” Brewington, 50, of 4744 US 421 Hwy, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025 at Duke University Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, June 19th at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Smith and Rev. Dr. William Matthews officiating.  Interment will follow the service at the Cypress Creek Baptist Church, 1321 Old Fayetteville Road, Garland, NC.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Immanuel Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Johnny and Delsey Brewington at 4674 US Hwy 421, Clinton.

Beth, born March 9, 1975, in Sampson County, was the daughter of Julia Smith Hansen and the late Art Hansen.  In addition to her father she was preceded in death by her brother Arthur “Artie Hansen, IV”.  She was a nurse and worked at Sampson Regional Medical Center, 3 HC Hospice, and Wake Medical Center.  Beth was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Shannon O’Neil Brewington, mother Julia Smith Hansen, son Cayden Brewington and mother-in-law and father-in-law Johnny and Delsey Brewington.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for every act of kindness, every prayer, every visit and every gesture of love shown during Beth’s illness.  Your support lifted our spirits and helped carry us through a very difficult time.  May God richly bless each of you.
