Connie Sue Pope, 65, of 150 Wyre Branch Road, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, February 20th at Hickory Grove Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. David R. Grady officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home of her daughter, Wendy P. Grady at 202 Wyre Branch Road, Clinton.

Sue, was born January 6, 1956 in Sampson County, and was the daughter of the late Oscar Manley Fann and Eva Mae Baggett Fann.  She was a Registered Nurse at Genesis Healthcare of Mt. Olive and a member of Piney Green Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Pope and brother, Manley Baggett Fann.

Survivors include: daughters, Donna Sue Pope of Fayetteville, Wendy Pope Grady and husband Doyle of Clinton and Bobbie Jo Matthis and husband Jamie of Clinton; grandchildren, Austin Pope, Dolan Reed Grady, Lane Matthis and Jayda Matthis; sister, Dianne Fann Hartley of GA and husband Mike; sister-in-law, Connie Honeycutt and husband Eddie Ray Honeycutt; special friend, James Robert Jones; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be made to Hickory Grove Baptist Church, 11341 N US Hwy 421, Clinton, NC  28328, or to Johnson Baptist Church, 477 Johnson Church Road, Warsaw, NC  28398.
