Clifford Steven Dailey, 71, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024 at Wake Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held at 4:00pm, Tuesday, 9 July 2024 at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Robert Beasley officiating.

Steve was born December 2, 1952 in Texas, the eldest of six children. His family moved to Florida where he lived across the street from lifelong best friend and future wife, Cherry. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and upon settling in North Carolina, he served 20 years with the NC Department of Corrections and was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. He was a loving husband and father who loved to fish and spend time with his grand babies. He is preceded in death by his wife Cherry Ann Neugent Dailey, brother Danny Dailey, mother Norma Dailey and great grandson Otto Dailey.

Survivors include: daughter, Stephanie Ann Sullivan and husband Alex of Newton Grove; sons, Thomas Eugene Dailey (Katherine) of Fayetteville and Duane Dailey of Clinton; grandchildren, Tommy Dailey, Bobby Dailey, Jesse Dailey, Cassy Dailey, Tanner Dailey, Lila Dailey, Shawn Dailey, Trey Dailey, Lauren Dailey, Levi Dailey, Weston Dailey, Hunter Rippey, Matthew Long, Noah Sullivan, Hannah Sullivan, Norah Sullivan and Asa Sullivan; great-grandchildren, Allana Dailey, Sydney Dailey, Abira Rippey, Sawyher Dailey, Leyah Dailey, Paisley Dailey, Aurora Dailey, Vannessa Long, Kendyl Dailey, Illiza Chalfant and Conher Dailey.
