Clarence Edward Chambers, Jr., 58, of Clinton, NC formerly of Waverly, VA passed away on October 6, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence E. Chambers, Sr. and mother, Peggy Gurganus Nicholson. Clarence was a self-taught musician with a special love for playing the guitar. He was also a talented artist and found joy in cooking. He is survived by his daughter, Serena Chambers of Newport News, VA; sister, Sandra Oates (Benjie) of Clinton, N.C.; brothers, Randy Collier (Christine) of Waverly, VA and Benjamin Collier of Clinton, NC; stepfather, Lee Collier of Waverly, VA; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday , October 12, 2025 at 2PM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel officiated by Ted Upton. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
