Clinton, 

Charlie Graham Jordan, born Aug. 6, 1939, passed away on Monday, Nov. 25 at UNC Rex Hospital at the age of 85. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Eva Lela Lane Jordan; three children, Wesley and wife Wendy Jordan of Clinton, Mary and husband Keith Thornton of Faison, and Stephanie and husband Dan Schwind of Gaithersburg, Md.; three grandchildren, Travis Jordan, Matthew and wife Kortland Thornton, and Heather Jordan;, all of Clinton, and one great-granddaughter, Remington (Remi) Thornton, one sister Joyce Swinson of Wallace. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Viola, and his brothers Marion, K.D., and Sam. 

He represented his community well throughout his life, serving as a member of the U.S. National Guard for 8 years and working for the Lundy Packing Company for 30 years. In his younger years, he farmed and worked the fire tower during fire season. His hobbies included gardening and lawn care. He was a long-time member of the Clinton Community Church. 

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29 at the Clinton Cemetery with visitation following immediately at the site. Family will receive friends and family other times after the service at the family home. Honorary pallbearers are Keith Thornton and C.M. Jordan. Pallbearers are Travis Jordan, Matthew Thornton, Brentley King, and Deon Bullard.
