Mr. Charles Ray "Pops" Wynn, of 1528 Wynn Rd. Clinton, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023 at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh.

A Memorial Mass with Military Honors will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Monday, May 15th at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home and other times at the home of his daughter Linda at 109 Duffer’s Walk Clinton.

Charles, a native of Sampson County was the son of the late Charlie William Wynn and Estelle Lee Wynn and was married to the late Veronica Murphy Wynn of Glasglow, Scotland. He was also preceded in death by siblings: Ira Franklin Wynn, William E. Wynn, Christine W. Weeks, Louise Wynn King and Jean Wynn Blackburn. Charles retired from the Army National Guard as a Civil Service Technician earning the Rank of First Sergeant. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and The Knights of Columbus.

Charles is survived by: Daughter, Linda Wynn (Kim), son Michael Wynn (Sherri), grandchildren: Rachel Meadows (Bryan), Chandler Wynn, Michaela Wynn-Chinchay (Jackson), Cameron Medlin (Meagen), great-grandchildren: Jaxton Meadows, Cade Meadows, and Ashyr Chinchay.
