Charles Otis Steedly, 95, of 102 Catherine Court, passed away Monday, November 11, 2024 at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, November 14th at Epworth Methodist Church with Rev. Chris O’Briant officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church and at other times at the home.

Charles, born February 13, 1929 in Sampson County, was the son of the late William Moses Steedly, Sr. and Azlee Harris Steedly.  He was a mechanic and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War.   In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Moses, Frank and Clyde and sisters Margaret, Rebecca, Leatrice and Patricia.

He is survived by; wife of 70 years, Doris Tyndall Steedly; daughter, Debra McMillan and husband Randy; sister, Sarah Massota of Massachusetts; brother, Robert Steedly of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Aaron McMillan and wife Brittney and Randi Kaye Honeycutt and husband Zack; great-grandchildren, Emery McMillan, Charlee McMillan and Costner Honeycutt; and several nieces and nephews.
