Carolyn Faye Porter Naylor, 87, of 3189 Church Road, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Rex Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 3 PM, Wednesday, March 13th at Hickory Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Matthew Creech and Elder Brant Blackburn officiating.    The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM – 2:45 PM, at Hickory Grove Baptist Church fellowship hall. Interment will follow at Harnett Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Roseboro.

Carolyn, born April 25, 1936 in Sampson County, was the daughter of the late Samuel Minson Porter and Eloise Crumpler Porter.  She was a homemaker and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church.  Carolyn was a kind, loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved to garden and to cook for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Robert Franklin Naylor, two sisters and three brothers.

Survivors include; husband of 71 years, James Franklin Naylor; daughters, Glenda Naylor Tew (Craig) of Dunn, Becky Naylor Steadman (Gil) of Raleigh; daughter-in-law, Ann Edwards Naylor; sister, Patricia Sutton; grandchildren, Leslie Darden (Jason), Meredith Keipper (Dustin), Christie Hargrove (Jamie), Robin Higgins (Brian), Robert Ashley Naylor (Taylor), Margaux Steadman and Christy Blankner (Jimmy); great-grandchildren, Anna, Ava and Ella Hargrove, Naylor, Lalon, Whitley Ann Higgins, Lewis and Dawson Naylor, Lincoln and Delaney Keipper, and Carter and Colin Blanker.
