Carol Marie Meadows Barefoot, 82, of Clinton, NC peacefully entered the gates of heaven and was reunited with her son, Billy Ray Barefoot, Jr. on Monday, January 27, 2025.

A Graveside Service for Carol will be at 11 AM on Friday, January 31, 2025, at the Clinton City Cemetery with visitation following the service.

Carol was born to the late Arnold and Mildred (Carpenter) Medows, of Omar, West Virginia, September 19, 1942.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Ray Barefoot, Jr, one sister Nelda (Bill) Hammons, 4 brothers, Bob Meadows (Yvonne), Jack Meadows (Mary), Johnny Meadows and Bo Meadows.  

Those left to cherish her memories are a sister Barbara Meadows of Omar, WV, brother Arnold Meadows (Debra), two sisters-in-law, Laura of Florida and Edith of WV., and many cousins, extended family and friends.

The family would like to thank: Ms. Colander Johnson (Carol’s neighbor), Mr. Larry Peele (Carol’s friend and gardener), and Anna Ellis for all her time spent helping Carol.

Carol grew up at Cow Creek, WV and enjoyed coming back every summer to visit with family and friends.
