Carl Emerson King, Jr. “C. E.”, 78, of1245 Rowan Road, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Graveside service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, August 30th at Grandview Memorial Garden with Rev. Sam Lloyd officiating.  Entombment will follow at the gravesite.  The family will receive friends at the grave following the service and at other times at the home of her son, Evan, at 1977 N McCullen Road, Faison, NC.

C. E., born July 27, 1943, was the son of the late Carl Emerson King and Lucy Muriel Gilbert King.  He retired from Carroll Foods as a diesel mechanic.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter Carlette King Lewis, and siblings Horace King, Pheobia Hinson and Sandra Young. His wife of over 50 years , Evelyn Paulette King, followed him dying only hours after his passing.

Survivors include her son Evan King and wife Jennifer, and grandchildren, Zaylea King, Brody King and Kaitlyn Lewis, sibling Ronnie King and wife Mary and Frankie King and wife Teresa.
