Bobby Ray Jackson, born August 23, 1952 in Sampson County, died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Sampson Regional Medical Center with his family by his side.

A graveside service will be at 3 PM, Saturday, January 23rd, at Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. Kim Strickland officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1 PM – 2:30 PM, Saturday, January 23rd at Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William C. Jackson and Lattie Pearl Jackson. 

Left to cherish his memory are his twin sister, Faye J. Milligan of Clinton; nieces, Michelle Pietrolaj and husband Eddie and Heather M. Tucker and husband Reginald Tucker; great nieces and nephews, Erica Lane, Ashlynn Williams Annadale Williams, Mason Tucker and Jackson Tucker;  two great-nieces; and friends, Billy Ray Jackson, Susan and Robert Tew.

Ray was a successful and accomplished roofer.  He was known by everyone as “Big Ray”.  Even though Big Ray was a private person he had a heart of gold.  He was always willing to help others.  Out of all his accomplishments his greatest was his family. 

He loved fishing and spending time with his very close friends and cherished every moment. That is the way he chose to spend life.

Even though Faye and Ray were twins, Faye says Ray was the apple of Lattie Pearl’s life.

Come celebrate his life with us, because as Christians this will be a celebration of life for now he is with our heavenly Father.  Ray until we meet again……..
