Mr. Bobby Edward Bunker, 89 of Clinton passed away on January 20th at The Magnolia.

Graveside services will be 11 AM, Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Clinton City Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service. 

Bobby was born in Mt. Airy, NC to the late Edward M and Lurena N Bunker on October 1, 1935.  After graduating from Franklin High School and NC State he was drafted into the US Army.  Upon leaving the Army he started his career in the textile industry working for Beaunit Textiles as Plant Manager for 16 years and then West Point Stevens as Plant Manager for 22 years.  After retirement he enjoyed spending time doing yard work, playing golf, and spending time with friends. He was a long-time member of First Baptist Church where he treasured his Backslider’s Sunday School Class. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Glenda Lowe Bunker and his grandson Alex Bunker and sister Elaine Reeves.   Survivors include a son, Bobby E Bunker, Jr. (Betsy) of SC, daughter Rebecca (Becky) McKee (Chris) of NC, a sister Brenda Seal,  2 grandchildren Rachel Bunker of SC, and Douglas McKee (Emily) of NC and 2 Great Grandchildren Mateo Villalba and Theodore McKee.
