Mrs. Beatrice Elizabeth Williams Gray of 104 Vista Drive, Clinton, NC, died Monday, November 20, 2023.

A funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, November 25th at Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church in Clinton NC with Rev. T. Wes Moore and Rev. Eric Grub officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the church and at other times at the home of her daughter, Jan Butler, 104 Vista Drive, Clinton, NC.    A private interment will be at 1 PM, Sunday, November 26th at Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church cemetery in Charlotte, NC.

She was a graduate of Long Creek High School in Mecklenburg County, Carolina Business School in Charlotte, NC and a bookkeeper for American Hardware Equipment Company in Charlotte.  She retired as a teacher assistant with Clinton City Schools.

Mrs. Gray is survived by three daughters; Linda Gray Crocker and husband Elmer of Kenly, NC, Janet Gray Butler and husband Frank of Clinton, NC, and Anne Gray Mercer and husband Michael of Bailey, NC; two sons, Donald Reid Gray, Jr. and wife Susan of Lakeland, Florida and Paul Marshall Gray and wife Deanna of Woodstock, Georgia; 12 grandchildren, Anthony Crocker (Pamela), Penny Rhodes (Howard), Rhonda Hinton (James), James Gray (Nicole), Robert Gray (Lisa), Elizabeth Hadley (Graham), Rebecca Hales (Clark), Reid Butler (Leigh), Austin Mercer (Caroline), Jesse Mercer, Luke Mercer and Kyle Gray; 23 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband Donald Reid Gray, Sr., sister Dorothy Williams McGehee and grandson Gray Felton Butler.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church, 201 Fayetteville St., Clinton, NC  28328 or to Williams Memorial Presbyterian Church, 4700 Beattie Ford Road, Charlotte, NC 28216.
